ABOUT KATY

Hello! My name is Katy Shafer (she/her). I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. My love for theatre started in third grade when I was citizen #1 in David and Goliath.

 

I am an NYU Tisch Drama graduate, where I studied musical theatre (New Studio on Broadway) and Shakespeare  (Classical Studio). I also have a minor in Math.

 

When I am not performing, I tutor high school students in math and prepare for the marathon! Next, I will perform in "Almost Like Being Alive," a new work, at Moore Community Jackson Garden from July 17 to 19.
